The Finnish Olympic Committee (Suomen Olympiakomitea) was founded in Helsinki on the 2nd of December, 1907. It was accepted as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in the IOC’s 9th Session in Haag, Holland.

The Finnish Olympic Committee has 56 member associations. The President of the Board is Roger Talermo (since 17 November, 2004), and the Secretary General is Jouko Purontakanen.
